Existing customers might know that our CobWeb/Vuzion based Microsoft Exchange 2013 platform is being withdrawn at the end of April; as a result we are having to switch customers to an alternative email server. We’ve now confirmed with one of other hosts Giacom that they are NOT ditching their Microsoft Exchange offer and are introducing Hosted Exchange 2019. What’s more, Giacom have said:
“We will be moving all 2013 and 2016 mailboxes to Hosted Exchange 2019 over the coming months. This will be a server by server migration, starting in April 2021. This work will be completed in the background and will require no work from the customer.”
Of course this is great news for customers that want to remain on a UK hosted and operated Microsoft Exchange platform but do not wish to pay Microsoft a monthly subscription fee for Microsoft 365. We’ll be contacting all existing customers on the Giacom platform in due course and will also be allowing uptake of the new Exchange platform in the knowledge it will remain stable for the foreseeable future.
