Each year, we sponsor one Norfolk charity or Community Interest Company (CIC) with a year of free IT support. From 2027, this is 100 hours, from 1 January to 31 December.
Who Can Apply?
You can apply if you are a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, or a CIC registered at Companies House, with a registered address in Norfolk and beneficiaries in Norfolk.
What’s Involved?
At the start of the sponsorship we’ll create a new Block Hours Agreement for you and over the year will credit it with 100 hours of support: 34 hours in your first month, to cover onboarding and any urgent work, then 6 hours a month for the rest of the year (see below for how long each lasts). These hours can be used for any IT support related purpose. If we visit your site, we’ll charge a site fee discounted by 50%.
Sponsorship works the same way as any other Block Hours Agreement, with two differences. The 34 hours credited in your first month don’t expire until the end of your sponsorship year. The 6 hours credited each month after that must be used in the month they are given, and any unused time lapses at the end of that month. Your first-month hours are used first, so the sooner we get the important work done, the better. Beyond your free hours, any extra support is billed at our standard hourly rate, the same as for any Block Hours customer.
You’ll also need our remote monitoring and management service and an antivirus and firewall package, both charged at a discounted monthly rate. DNS filtering, which blocks known malicious websites, is included with remote monitoring at no extra charge. These keep your systems properly monitored so we can act on problems before they cause you trouble.
How Does it Work?
Get in touch by 30 November 2026. If your application is shortlisted, we’ll arrange a visit to meet you and your team, look around and answer any questions, and to get a feel for your IT setup before making a final decision. If you’re successful, we’ll let you know and start onboarding shortly after.
Sponsored organisations may be asked to take part in a case study or give a testimonial about the work we’ve done. Once your sponsorship year ends, there’s no obligation to continue with us – though of course we’d love you to.
What Happens Afterwards?
Around two months before the end of your sponsorship, we’ll remind you and send a quote for a standard Block Hours Agreement, with the Community Technology Programme discounts applied. If you decide not to continue, we’re still happy to help on an ad hoc basis at our standard rates, but without the programme discounts or services such as remote monitoring.
