Case Studies

Real examples of how we’ve helped businesses and charities across Norfolk with their IT.

Coastal Health and Wellbeing

As part of our Community Technology Programme, we spent 2024 sponsoring Coastal Health and Wellbeing (Wells Community Hospital Trust) with a full year of free IT support, worth over £5,000.

When we started, the charity was relying on an old, unsupported on-site server that was becoming a genuine risk to their day-to-day work. Over the year, we moved them fully onto Microsoft 365 – their files, their email, everything – and retired the old server safely and securely. Staff also moved from desktop computers to laptops, giving them the flexibility to work from wherever they needed to be.

Alongside that, we handled the IT side of the charity’s rebranding, kept their phone system running smoothly through the transition, and made sure their network and backups stayed secure and reliable throughout – including proper disaster recovery testing, so they’d know their data was safe if the worst happened.

By reusing donated equipment where we could and providing the year’s support free of charge, we helped the charity put more of their funding towards the people they actually support – not their IT bill.

The Fairhaven Garden Trust

Through our Community Technology Programme, we spent 2025 sponsoring The Fairhaven Garden Trust with a year of free IT support – 96 hours in total, worth around £6,000.

When we started, the charity’s IT had been set up by a volunteer who was no longer able to support it, and some staffing changes meant knowledge of how things worked had been lost along the way. We stepped in to regain proper control of their systems, including their Microsoft 365 setup, and put stable, secure foundations in place.

Day to day, we fixed a recurring problem with the tills in the charity’s café and shop losing connection – a small thing that made a big difference to daily operations – and moved their email over to their existing Microsoft 365 tenant, saving them money they’d been spending on a separate provider. We also upgraded their systems ahead of Windows 10 reaching end of life, and put proper processes in place for starters and leavers, so access to data and systems stays secure as staff come and go.
