If your primary email service goes down, Mail Assure will queue emails for up to 14 days, with incoming mail held in a delivery queue for viewing. This queuing mechanism acts as a critical safety net that prevents email loss during server outages, maintenance windows, or technical failures.
Users can access and review the delivery queue directly, allowing them to see pending emails and address urgent matters even whilst the primary server remains offline. This visibility ensures that critical communications aren’t overlooked during downtime periods.
Instead of bouncing messages back to senders with delivery errors, Mail Assure temporarily stores all incoming communications, ensuring no missed business opportunities or customer enquiries. The service maintains your professional reputation by keeping clients unaware of any technical difficulties.

Incoming Filter & Quarantine – Real Life Example
All inbound email is classified according to what content has been detected. In this example only 10 emails have passed the filter – another 20 emails were classified as suspicious including 18 spam, 1 phishing attempt and 1 virus attachment.
We can inspect which items were filtered – here is a list of spam that was rejected. Mail Assure did not even deliver the emails to the customers mail server.
And here is the email that was reject due to a virus detection, safely held back from being delivered from the user.
In this example we see a couple of emails that have been held back as possibly spam and a phishing email – users or admins can choose to have them released from quarantine and delivered to their mailbox, or we can delete them permanently:
